Alabama DOT (Department of Transportation) Ushers in UN Agenda 21
by Terri Fulton
The 8th of 9 DOT meetings held throughout the state recently presented to Guntersville citizens the proposed bike and pedestrian routes for the State of Alabama. According to the DOT, the Federal Highway Administration mandated the plan and T-21 (federal) funds would be used. The DOT said they would be contacting city and county planners to assist in the project.
DOT is looking for a volunteer statewide coalition to work with ALDOT (Al. Dept of Transportation) and state political leaders. If they cannot get volunteers, they said ALDOT could do a state coalition.
DOT stated that the bike and pedestrian trails were to promote a mode of transportation other than automobiles. They stated this would reduce people’s trips in automobiles which would be beneficial to greenways, would help reduce air pollution and that it fits into sustainable development. They added that ALDOT’s plan incorporated sustainable development and that sustainable development was on their agenda.
These trails for example will connect cities such as Mobile to Montgomery, Auburn to Opelika, Gadsden to Birmingham, and routes along each river in the state, and even connect North Alabama to Mississippi. There will be state routes and county routes, and some bike trails will be on paved shoulders of main roads. They will be looking at echo systems and greenways.
It was also stated by DOT that Seth Hammett, Al. Speaker of the House, "had this on his radar screen."
This reporter asked a DOT official at the meeting if they knew this was actually a UN Agenda 21 plan and the answer was in the affirmative.
The meeting broke up 30 minutes early from disruption when the bike and pedestrian enthusiasts ran to the individual county maps placed at the back of the room to draw the locations of trails they wanted in their county -- even after hearing this was part of sustainable development. When this reporter interviewed several enthusiasts while drawing on their county maps, and told them that it was just admitted by DOT officials that this was UN Agenda 21 they said: "I don’t care, I just want bike trails for me and my children." The other one said, "The UN will never come to Guntersville" -- after I had just told her DOT said this was part of the UN's Agenda 21!
It’s a sad day when the "me, me, me" people enthusiastically usher in UN plans and so willingly give away freedom here at home while our soldiers are on foreign soil fighting for these freedoms.
Contact your local County Commissioners, City Councilmen, and State Representatives to explain to them the facts, which very few of them know about. Read through this web site about their plans to take our property, restrict our use of automobiles, and squash us all into a few high density cities, leaving a majority of these United States as echo systems for animals only -- no humans allowed.
