These were speeches by ordinary citizens who were concerned enough about what they have heard concerning the push to re-write the Alabama 1901 Constitution that they took the time and effort to travel from their homes to Birmingham on a Monday morning, March 7, 2003, to be present at the public meeting at 10:00 AM, a time when most working Alabamians had to take time away from their jobs if they wanted their voices to be heard.

We contacted as many of these men and women as we could and asked their permission to post their comments on our web site. We will add to this list of speeches as more responses are received.
