VOLUME 5, NUMBER 4 -- MAY 15, 2000
During the Earth Summit (June 1992), while some 170 plus nations met to formally endorse the global plan of action, there was a series of meetings involving a group of NGOs (non-governmental organizations). The meetings resulted in 46 treaties/joint statements with the United Nations. All of the treaties/joint statements may be viewed at http://www.igc.org/habitat/treaties/
The Treaty on Urbanization:
Notwithstanding the Law of Nature, the United Nations has, in this treaty, determined that:
The United Nations in joint partnership with NGOs such as the United Methodist, AARP, League of Women Voters, Presbyterian Church USA, The Salvation Army, The Nature Conservancy and many other well known groups will "create new rights." With these new rights, the UN and NGOs will allocate, earmark, designate, or appropriate resources which you once considered your own, such as water, land, and timber. The motive is, of course, to help the impoverished peoples of the world.
One should ask: What about my right to own private property? To which the UN and the NGO community answers:
Production of all products and all new inventions must come under the rule of social justice, which is determined by the UN and their ilk.
In the "Citizens' Commitments on Biodiversity" a joint partnership between the UN and the NGO community states:
"This implies that:
a. All members of present and future generations receive a socially equitable share of and access
to the benefits of natural resources"
You, therefore, cannot burn another gallon of gasoline because you are restricting future generations from using natural resources.
You may, (if the UN/NGO partnership decrees) burn a tree to stay warm in the winter.
You will respect the tree when it is sacrificed by acknowledging the "intrinsic, social, aesthetic, cultural, traditional, spiritual and other values,...." and ensure that your "activities do not cause suffering of any living thing." Yes, the "creating of new rights" will certainly bring joy and happiness to all of mankind.
By denying God's Law, an ethical void is created. The proud and pompous UN/NGO answers this trifle problem with the following treaty:
Treaty on Consumption and Lifestyle.
They preface the void by stating:
Of course:
That was summer of 1992. Their efforts are bearing fruit. This year the global society is being presented with:
"Center for Respect of Life and Environment (CRLE) in Washington, DC. CRLE is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that works to promote earth ethics and sustainable policies and practices within the United States and throughout the world."
Establishing organizations to aid in the implementation of the United Nations agenda is normal procedure. The CRLE is working in two areas:
Higher Education;
and Religion;

The implementation of partnerships between NGOs and the United Nations is illustrated in current happenings in Minnesota.
A previous newsletter discussed their use of "The Natural Step" an ethical criteria for business. Due to space limitations we will concentrate on the current events.
April 9, 2000 (Sun.), Waconia, MN, the Faith Lutheran Church sponsored a talk on "The Natural Step to Sustainability". A "Natural Step" facilitator presented the program. He presented literature which stated:
The circle is now complete: church, state, and business.
The evidence is overwhelming, documents in 1992 laid down the intent, ongoing programs reverberate with the progress being made towards those goals, .... and the apathetic, ignorant public chases after the "stupid economy" and awaits their new master.
The United Nations general assembly has called for two meetings to be held at the UN headquarters in September, 2000.
The Millennium Assembly will convene on 5 September 2000-- the purpose is to:
"Human rights will be considered as a cross cutting issue."
The Millennium Summit will begin on 6 September, 2000 -- the purpose is to determine:
The overall theme of the assembly/summit is "The United Nations in the twenty-first century"

Five regional meetings have been held in preparation for the Sept. 2000 meetings. The Latin America and the Caribbean meeting in Santiago, Chile on 2 September, 1999, is one example. This regional meeting listed the following aspects which the UN should oversee in the next millennium
"....the Hearing welcomed the recent trend giving primacy to human rights over national sovereignty." Most Americans seem to be unaware that we are in the process of relinquishing our national sovereignty to United Nations treaties and edicts.
"....that any decision to intervene militarily taken outside the framework of the United Nations would be totally unacceptable." A standing army for the UN? The inability to defend against encroachments unless the U.N. approved?
"....prevailing production and consumption patterns, considered to be irrational and wasteful." According to the UN the American lifestyle causes the most harm too the environment - we produce too much and consume to much. A UN solution will be forthcoming.
"....promotion of sustainable development in the next century; and globalization and development with social equity." To felicitate this the UN was asked to:
"....play a key role in bringing together Governments, business organizations, trade unions and civil society organizations at large, to define jointly a conceptual platform to face the future tasks and make it possible for the twenty-first century to be the 'century of people.' That was the only way to ensure sufficient employment creation and to eradicate poverty, recognized to be the two main social challenges of the end of the twentieth century and the most difficult task to deal with in the twenty-first."
"In that regard, the Hearing requested the Organization to involve social actors, not only at the implementation phase of programmes, but also at the level of policy-making organs, in order to produce a genuinely inclusive agenda. It also called on the United Nations to support and take advantage of the unprecedented wealth of experience accumulated by civil society networks during the last few years, which had contributed to the generation of a truly global citizenry."
We should recognize that "social actors" are organizations such as the Lutheran Church mentioned in the preceding article. It is hoped that the parishioners at Faith Evangelical Lutheran Church are aware that their facility is being used to further the goal of globalism.
Will they have the understanding and courage to refute this globalists agenda?
We cannot answer that question. We can and must recognize that we are rapidly approaching the
end of National Sovereignty as we have known it and that "Global Citizenry" is the next step. For
many years now our education system has been teaching that we must embrace global citizenship
if we are to avoid world shattering conflicts. Many will take that next step without thinking of the
real consequences - After all freedom and slavery are mere concepts. The contented slave must
believe he is free in order to accept the chains of "global citizenry." Truly, when we see the local
churches pushing the global agenda that next step must be very close.
