AN EDITORIAL

While the whole world focuses attention on President Clinton's sexual peccadilloes, hardly anyone mentions his subversive activities that are leading our nation headlong into the crushing embrace of the New World Order.

His executive actions implementing much of the UN Agenda 21 and portions of the Biodiversity Treaty (that Congress refused to ratify) via means of the bureaucracies are never mentioned in the tabloid headlines nor in the main-stream media.

The fact that he has made UN policemen out of our military and has sent our forces to numerous spots of endangerment while opening our own borders to foreign military goes unnoticed by our guardians in the press.

His late start in addressing the very real problems of the Y2K issue has made us even more vulnerable to what could be the worst disaster our nation has ever faced.

His open endorsement of the UN Rights of the Child, Rights of Women, Global Warming and other treaties, and the International Criminal Court show blatantly his globalist stance which goes ignored by those who should be shouting warnings from the rooftops.

So, the people of this nation-in-blinders continue to give support to this man who has made a bordello of the White House after selling large portions of it to the Chinese Communists and other campaign contributors.

Wake up Americans! The liberties you take for granted could vanish in an hour. Indeed, the Bible says the great riches of that fabulous "city" Babylon will be consumed by fire in one hour. (Rev. 18:10-19) We are not immune!!

The following notice was received via e-mail. Notice the "spread" of small arms they want to stop is not modified by the adjective "unlawful." If you are familiar with the UN agenda, a major portion of it is public disarmament. (BASIC = British American Security Information Council, not sure what PLW stands for.)

BASIC will be holding a seminar on small arms and light weapons entitled "Stopping the Spread and Unlawful Use of Small Arms: International Initiatives" on Friday 25 September 1998.

The seminar is to be held at the United Nations in New York (conference room number to be announced), and will run from 10 AM to 6 PM. It is being co-sponsored by the Canadian and Norwegian governments, and will be opened by Under Secretary General for Disarmament Jayantha Dhanapala. Foreign Ministers Lloyd Axworthy (Canada), Knut Vollebaek (Norway), Rosario Green (Mexico) and Leonardo Simao (Mozambique) will address the seminar, as will Under-Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs Sergio Vieira de Mello.

UN Messenger of Peace Michael Douglas will give a keynote address at lunchtime.

PLW members should have received a faxed invitation to attend the seminar. At present, we working with the Canadian mission to secure UN passes for all those who RSVP promptly, but do not have UN access. Given the tight security during the Heads of State week, we do need a firm list of all guests. Open luncheon invitations to guests without UN photo ID might prove difficult, as this area may be restricted, so please bear with us for this part of the event.

A BIT MORE ON THE ICC

Some of us attended a recent JBS speech by William Norman Grigg in which he discussed the International Criminal Court proposal that came out of the recent Rome conference.
As this ICC is now structured, it is not in the form of a treaty that each participating nation would have to ratify, it is in the form of a "statute" that will become international law once 60 nations have signed it. In other words, once 60 nations agree to this proposal the International Criminal Court is activated and assumes jurisdiction over every living soul on planet earth.
The big question, of course, is what gives the United Nations the authority to impose their brand of justice on all nations. The answer is, it does not have such authority ... unless the nations of the world are willing to give it ... or are too weak militarily to resist.
The Clinton Administration is already on record in support of the ICC, even though the United States representative at the conference did not sign and Congress has voiced reservations. It is the same Congress, however, that passed a resolution to the effect that it would like to see the UN convene a court to try Saddam Hussein for war crimes. Is this not talking out of both sides of the mouth?
We need to make real nuisances of ourselves in letting our Senators know that we are adamantly opposed to this revocation of our Constitutional Bill of Rights, or as Mr. Grigg put it, the cancellation of the Fourth of July.
We have seen our national sovereignty being stripped away bit-by-bit with treaties like NAFTA, GATT (with its World Trade Organization or WTO), The Chemical Weapons Ban Treaty and a few other "agreements" or treaties with the UN.
Of course, legally (under our Constitution) our government can only sign a treaty with another sovereign government. By signing a treaty with the UN we are essentially recognizing that body as a world government. We believe this would be a good point to make when writing our Senators in reference to any UN treaty they may be considering.
Also, we should consistently recommend they take action to get the United States out of the United Nations and the United Nations out of the United States anytime we are writing concerning a UN issue.
To repeat ourselves to some extent, we want to point out some of the dangers posed by the International Criminal Court:

Americans could be charged by the ICC for any so-called crime the United Nations might designate. We can envision crimes against the environment, crimes against ethnic, racial, religious or sexual-orientation groups as a result of expressing views against such groups.

Hate crimes could evolve into thought crimes, especially for those holding Christian fundamentalist beliefs, or anyone who might hold a strong belief that there are universal rights and wrongs or universal truths.

Americans could be tried by judges from such countries as Cuba, Iran, Iraq, or myriad others that hold no love for our country.

Individuals might be incarcerated for years before being brought to trial.

There is no provision for a trial by jury.

There is no guarantee of a right to an attorney of one's choice.

The general assumption of such international tribunals in the past has been that one brought to trial is guilty and the trial is merely a formality to establish sentence.

The accused is not guaranteed a right to face his accuser.

And there are other dangers. Even if you have already written or called your Senators regarding the ICC, it would be a good idea to keep reminding them.
There was a good article on this issue by William Jasper in the April 13, 1998, issue of The New American, and a follow up article by him in the August 31, 1998 issue of the same magazine. Either or both of these would be helpful in drafting letters to your Senators, letters to the editor columns or others who might be influential in helping us avoid this pitfall.
If the ICC becomes a reality, it could just be the final building block to make you a world citizen instead of a citizen of the United States. Welcome to the NEW WORLD ORDER!

Radical Greens Using Churches To Force Senate Support Of The UN's Global Warming Treaty
URGENT! URGENT! URGENT! URGENT!
The National Council of Churches (NCC) is urging churches nation-wide to enlist congregations in a massive letter-writing campaign in support of the UN's global warming treaty.
The Council's General Secretary, Rev. Joan Brown Campbell says that the goal is to make global warming "a litmus test for the faith community." NCC has a long history of radical leftist activity.
The truth is, this effort by the NCC, along with the U.S. Catholic Conference and the National Association of Evangelicals, is part of a nation-wide drive by radical greens to influence American churches with green propaganda.
The assault is funded by the National Religious Partnership for the Environment (NRPE), which is a UN front group of anti-Christian, earth-worshipping Pagans operating out of "The Gaia Institute" and the "Temple of Understanding" located in New York City.
The NRPE is funded by massive grants from such radical left foundations as PEW Charitable Trust, the Turner Foundation and W. Alton Jones Foundation.
The real purpose of this green assault on the churches is to break down the strongest bastion of opposition to earth worship and the destruction of morality in America.
YOU MUST RESIST THIS ASSAULT ON YOUR CHURCH!
Action to Take:
Oppose any efforts made by your church to participate in the NCC global warming letter-writing campaign.
