THE ALABAMA COMMITTEE TO GET US OUT OF THE UNITED NATIONS DISCUSSES

GLOBAL GOVERNANCE UN STYLE

The following is a copy of a report issued by the United Nations Commission on Global Governance.  It contains their recommendations for a full-blown Conference on Global Governance to be held in 1998 and implemented by the year 2000.  Elsewhere they have used the "year 2000 CE, (Common Era)."  A change in year designation we consider very significant.

The wording of the report is verbatim, we have only color-coded and emboldened certain passages for emphasis and ease of discussion.  Our comments are columnized to the left of the report.

This is but a single report.  There are hundreds of similar documents already in existence, and others being created even now.  The UN conducts some 300 conferences a year, nearly one a day, and each will generate sufficient paper work.  The RIO DECLARATION drafted in 1992 runs about 600 to 700 pages, depending on the spacing.  It is a similar document in that it specifies many actions that all peoples must take.

Once the United States "signs-on" to a Conference report it becomes obligated to pass domestic laws designed to implement the terms it contains. In effect, we are surrendering self -government to global government.  Our Constitution does not enter into disputes involving such terms -- we are bound by international law in such cases.  Such cases can come down to individual actions -- as in the case of environmental infractions.

We offer this sample document with some of our comments in the hope it might create an itch you will want to scratch -- to find out more of just what this world organization is all about and the agenda it has been pushing since its inception.

Americans are a trusting people.  We tend to try to believe the best about our fellow men.  Unfortunately there are unscrupulous men who know this and use it to their advantage.

We think education is the key, that once the American people are aware of the truth they will act appropriately.  Unfortunately, the mass media has been at the disposal of the globalists for many years and has so conditioned the public to view the United Nations as a sort of fumbling organization that wastes a lot of money and doesn't do much but has admirable motives behind its actions, that it is difficult to convince them otherwise.

This is a small effort by a few concerned citizens to try to make a small dent in the armor protecting that fallacious reputation.

Our comments will appear in this column.  Sometimes they may not align properly with the text we are commenting on (depending on the browser).  Essentially, the comments are related to the colored text in the main column (to the right) in the order in which they occur.
