SOME ANSWERS


Now that you have answered the questions as you believed they should have been answered, how do your answers compare with those below?

A comment before the answers are discussed: two hundred years ago the general population would have known the answers, because of two primary factors: First preachers, such as Jonas Clark, Samuel West, Abraham Williams and many others, preached God's word. Secondly the people compared what was preached against God's word and therefore knew the truth. With few exceptions God's word is not being preached in today's culture, and when it is many people do not recognize it. Without biblical understanding, the questions cannot be correctly answered.

X The answer to questions 1 & 2 is: No. The Constitution is a piece of paper, an inanimate object, it can do nothing, it can grant nothing. The Declaration of Independence states: "We holds these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,...." The first founding document of this government states that God is the grantor of rights. The Constitution merely affirms those God given rights. Of the 55 men who formed the Constitutional Convention, 52 were active members of their church. The main architect of the Constitution, James Madison, once said, "We've staked our future on our ability to follow the Ten Commandments with all our heart." They knew quite well, as stated in Genesis chapter one, verse one: "In the beginning God created...." Today we don't know what we believe.

3 . X The actions of the individual must first be compared with the book of truth - the Bible. Murder, adultery, and lying are clearly forbidden in the Ten Commandments - no exceptions. But since the man who holds the highest office in the land is guilty on all three counts how can he be a power ordained of God?

Two hundred years ago the answer was well known. Preachers such as Samuel West stated in his Election Day Sermon delivered in Boston in 1776, titled On the Right to Rebel Against Governors: "if a man appointed to a place of power breaks God's law, then his actions allow others to determine that he has become a 'minister of Satan.'" He further states "....more especially if our governors are men of loose morals and abandoned principles; for if a man is not faithful to God and his own soul, how can we expect that he will be faithful to the public?"

X But since the Constitution is not taught in grades K through Ph.D., and the general population allows the talking heads to fill this void of ignorance with this lie intended to rob us of our liberty it is understandable why this untruth is believed. A reading of the Constitution clearly reveals the NO answer to the question. A letter, written by Thomas Jefferson to the Danbury Baptist Church contained the phrase "wall of separation" but even this letter, when read in its entirety, makes clear that was a one-way separation, separating the church from state control but not separating the state from church influence. This out-of-context statement implying a true separation between church and state was referred to in a Supreme Court ruling in the late 40's and has been accepted as truth because the populace has been dumbed-down by a godless education system. We repeat: the answer to question four - a resounding No!
5 . X Perhaps you have already deduced the correct answer, but a fair answer to this question begs a brief discussion of the most applicable example: John the Baptist. Most people seem to have forgotten or to have never been told that his supposed crime, the one that resulted in his beheading, was that he told the king it was unlawful for a man to have sexual relations with his brother's wife. This is as true today as it was then. Our pulpits have gone silent on the morality of men holding office. Probably due to the government's license known as 501 c3 (tax status) or ignorance concerning the bold approach of John the Baptist?

X If God's word is a light unto my path and I have sworn and confirmed that I will keep his righteous judgments (Psalms 119:105&106) Then it must follow that as a Christians I am to let my "light so shine before men, that they may see [my] good works and glorify [my] Father in heaven." Mat. 5:16.

Pity the society that:

· does not recognize the murder of the most innocent among us.

· does not recognize that homosexuality is a sin.

· does not recognize the proper role of government is to punish the evil doer.

· would prefer civil rights (granted by government) rather than inalienable rights from God.
