OUR SECRET WAR

Alabama, like all of America, is under attack. Our former ally France and our former enemy Germany have joined politically with other members of the European Union in a move to counter balance the United States as a world power. Our enemies are far weaker than we, but they have found a lever, a mechanism to expand their influence. That lever is called The United Nations. Hitler and Napoleon are long dead but their dream of world domination still survives. As the political posturing inside the United Nations, (over the war in Iraq) clearly demonstrates, the European Union’s attitude goes far beyond being anti-war. It is clearly and viciously anti-American.
The United Nations was envisioned as a political forum to promote open dialogue between nations and foster world peace but it has been perverted into an organization dominated by "one world government elitists." Those who would dominate the globe in the name of peace hate us for our freedom and they fear us for our prosperity. Joining forces with communists and totalitarian dictatorships to "out vote the free world" they are bonded by a common goal. That goal is to strip America of her wealth and our people of their economic and political freedoms. The new world order’s definition of peace is no resistance to their authority. China is peaceful. Cuba is peaceful. Iraq was peaceful. But it is the peace of a conquered nation where the voices of the people are heard only in the cries of the tortured and the whimpers of the oppressed.
As of this moment, no nation and no organization on earth can defeat America. We can only defeat ourselves.
Three thousand innocent Americans civilians died at the twin towers on 9/11 and many American soldiers have died in nameless places far away. No one knows what future conflicts may bring but I do know this: we have waited far too long to defend ourselves as a nation and we have paid a terrible price for our ignorance and our innocence. While we have refused to believe the truth and have clung to the UN dream, the United Nations has perverted our kindness and our generosity. It has used our benevolence against us. While the people of the United States freely donated their wealth and their patriot’s blood to defend other people and other nations, the globalists have secretly plotted against us. That plot is no longer a secret. It is splashed all over CNN Europe and it is painted on the banners of the anti-war protesters organized and backed financially by the American communist party and by UN sponsored environmental groups all over America. In one form or another the messages are the same, "We love the United Nations" and "We hate America!"
We have been at war for a long time now, but most of us didn’t know it. Many of us still don’t want to know. America will win the war in Iraq. But unless we change, we will lose the peace.
There is a secret World War, a war that has raged for many years in the name of peace. We have lost almost an entire generation of our children to this war. The enemy did not invade us with guns or weapons of mass destruction. They used socialist ideas and mass education through the news media and our government schools to kill the American spirit. We have grown complacent. We have forgotten that ideas can be the most dangerous weapon of all.
As a nation we have failed in our duty to teach our children what it means to be an American. But others have not failed. Others have taught them well. They have taught them not to make value judgments. They have taught them to accept without question. They have taught them to tolerate anything but intolerance. There was a time when the American dream placed high value on the individual and his freedom to compete. Americans cherished the freedom to succeed and also the freedom to fail. Her citizens understood that our Constitution guaranteed all Americans equal opportunity. They also knew that the constitution never said a word about making everybody equal. It was up to the individual, through the opportunities provided, to make something of himself.
Our Founding Fathers knew both the value and the cost of freedom. They had first hand knowledge of the tyranny of government. Because of this, our Constitution was designed not to enable government, but rather to bind the tyranny of unfettered governmental control so that the power would reside with the people, so that the people could rule their government and not be ruled by it. But we have not educated our children in these truths and our freedoms slip away.
In Alabama today modern day carpetbaggers come to us demanding that we rewrite our Alabama Constitution. They want more taxes. They want more regulations. They say this is for the children. They say they want to help the poor. They tell us it promotes equality. They say we should give up our rights for the security that big government can provide. They even say we are sinful if we don’t raise taxes to give them what they want. They say we don’t need the checks and balances that our present constitution gives us. They say trust them to do what is right for Alabama. They say a lot of things. But we should pay more attention to what they do.
What have they done? What bills have they supported in the legislature? What do they really stand for? Well, let us see:
They have supported the lottery and casino gambling, even though statistics prove that gambling destroys families and bleeds revenue from the state. They support the removal of God’s guidance from our constitution. They support the removal of 13 of our citizens’ rights from the Alabama Bill of Rights. They want to start a state bank and redefine money. They want to remove our state and county boundaries from the constitution to make global governance easier to implement. They want to make it more difficult to own guns. They want to vastly expand eminent domain so that they can steal private property in the name of the public good. And lastly they want to make it easier to impeach any judge with whom they disagree. Can anyone point out anything these rewriters have done to help the children or the poor? No, they cannot. The rewriters have only tried to help themselves to your money, your property, and your freedoms and to remove your parental influence by rewriting the minds of your children.
Hidden beneath the surface is a clash of worldviews on a titanic scale, a religious war for the future of mankind between those who worship God and those who worship the earth; between those who believe in man’s free will and those who believe that man is just another animal that must be caged and controlled.
The tentacles of the UN have already penetrated deep into our Federal bureaucracy. Federal grant money is the lever being used to pressure state lawmakers into destroying our constitution. We must not take the bait. We must say no to the Federal money.
The 1901 Alabama Constitution and the vote of our people are still our strongest defenses against this invasion. Our best hope is to defend our home state and our local communities with knowledge and resolve. Our birthright as Americans and the future of our children is at stake. Our citizens must wake up. We must defend our constitution as it has always defended us.
